ABOUT THE SCHOOL

AME Community School

Building Stronger Families, One Child at a Time

Introduction:

Education is fundamentally a social practice that takes place across different spaces and moments in the development of social life. In this context, school-based education, as the subject of public policy, plays a vital role in the formative processes through its various levels, cycles, and modalities. Even within formal education—conducted through institutions such as basic education schools—there are multiple educational purposes and guiding principles for teaching and learning. Each country, shaped by its unique historical and cultural background and national development goals, establishes its own guidelines and foundations for the education system.

The school is located in the administrative post of Inhamizua, locality of Inhamizua, approximately 18 km from the city of Beira. It is built with conventional materials and consists of seven classrooms. It is classified as a Type 2 school and is currently in good condition.

Extracurricular Activities (Sports, School Production, Training Sessions, Thematic Talks, and Other Activities) Throughout this trimester, the school has been actively involved in training students in chess and 11-a-side football. Inter-class competitions in these activities have contributed greatly to student motivation and kept them engaged on Saturdays.

Our Results:

Comparing with the year 2024, the school experienced an increase of 4.4% in the first term of the current year 2025. Given that the number of students has grown and the school has been providing school snacks to all students, which helps retain them, we also offer extra tutoring classes on Saturdays at all levels. In fact, with this methodology, the school has grown significantly in recent years and currently has an enrollment of 1,392 students. Thanks to this motivation and other factors, we consistently achieve very satisfactory academic performance.
